So wow!  It has been a while since I've posted.  Anyway, a little ways back I requested to speak at the MarketSTL event, a Search Engine Optimization/Website Building/Social Marketing seminar presented to small/medium size business.  I have been interested in speaking at events for a while now and I thought this would be a great way to break into it.  Even though I was petrified once I realized what speaking would entail (my friends and family can attest to this), this was an excellent opportunity.

Not only did I gain experience in public speaking for events, not only did I meet a lot of great people (Carolyn Shelby, Will Hanke and David Ogletree), I personally feel like I reached a number of small business owners/marketers.  The main thrust of my presentation was that as its own entity, companies need to provide the rules/guidelines/structure/plan for implementing Social Marketing as a part of the over all Marketing plan.  I also outlined a few of the more prominent social marketing platforms an provided some ideas on how to use them.

I'll be providing an in-depth posting soon on some of my thoughts, but in the meantime, please feel free to download my presentation.  If you have any questions, you can always ping me.
